Carolina Day School Magazine

We jumped at the chance to work with our friends at Carolina Day School to relaunch their school magazine. Marketing Communications Coordinator Caitlin Taylor wrote the balance of articles, covering topics including the school’s beyond-the-textbook Civics instruction, a feature on the Upper School’s theater director, an exploration of dyslexia as a hidden strength and a comprehensive, visual PK-8 leadership timeline.

With such rich, varied content, we had no shortage of ideas to begin layout of the 44-page magazine. With the goal of having the magazine printed and ready to mail along with the school’s tuition letters the first few days of January, it was a tight timeframe – one that required organization, efficiency and most importantly, constant communication between Caitlin and Karen.

Here’s what Caitlin had to say about her experience, “I worked with Karen on our latest issue of the Carolina Day Magazine, and she was a dream. Not only were her designs beautiful and original, but she worked quickly and efficiently on a very short timeline. We knew we needed someone who would do quick, meticulous, and thoughtful work, and Karen delivered in all areas. She took on communications with our printer for us, which was such a huge load off of our minds. Her eye-catching work reflected the personality of our copy so well, and we’ve gotten nothing but praise for the final product. I cannot recommend working with Karen enough!”

Director of Marketing Communications Sarah Goldstein oversaw the magazine’s development. She added,Everyone loves the new magazine! It’s been so fantastic to have this. It was a huge goal for me this year, and you’ve made it happen.”
