During km design’s thirteen years of business and throughout my 25+ year career, I’m constantly reminded of the importance strategy plays in successful branding and marketing. Simply put, strategy is identifying your organization’s goals and how to achieve them. It’s the roadmap that guides you in choosing the right brand marketing initiatives – at the right time – for the best results.
Done right, strategy helps you better understand your company, your target audience, your competitors and ultimately drives your bottom line. You may be thinking, “Been there. Done that. Got the t-shirt.” But have you really? Consider these questions:
- Can you explain what differentiates your brand in a few short sentences? Can your employees?
- Can you describe your target audience – including their pain points – and how your brand can help to alleviate them?
- Do you know your company’s WHY? What are your beliefs? What do you stand for?
- Do you have an easy-to-follow, internal document that summarizes your brand story to inform and guide all company communications?
- How effective are your current marketing tools: website, advertising, capabilities/sales collateral, social media? Do you have a process to measure and benchmark results?
If you answered no to one or more of these questions, it’s likely time to refresh or completely revamp your brand strategy, particularly if it’s been a few years since you’ve addressed it. And the good news is, working together, it won’t take long to get you back on track. Learn more about km design’s brand strategy process.
Ready to see how a sound brand strategy can strengthen and streamline your brand marketing? Let’s talk. We have immediate availability and are booking work through the summer. And speaking of summer, if you’re headed on vacation and need to find a competent, capable art director to fill in for you or someone on your team, look no further! Here’s what BooneOakley’s Traffic Manager Heather Nikoncyk had to say about working with me:
Karen was a godsend – working onsite for us while two of our art directors were on vacation. She picked things up quickly and worked well with our team. I wouldn’t hesitate to call her again and look forward to working with her in the future.
