Want a free, custom Zoom background?

I don’t know about you, but I’m getting a little tired of these virtual meetings. Zoom fatigue for sure! I know, I know… it’s a necessity right now and I AM grateful to see the faces that belong to those familiar voices. But I say we shake things up a bit! How? With a custom-km-design(ed) Zoom background for your next meeting.

I’ve created a few sample backgrounds (reluctantly featuring yours truly) to get your creative juices flowing. Let’s start with a couple business options:

Marketing Offer – Featuring Your Logo / Website

This is perfect for meetings with colleagues, prospects and clients. Additionally, if you’re like me, you’re taking advantage of all the free webinars/Zoom presentations that have flooded the internet in the last month, and you may be getting exposure to new audiences. Don’t miss the opportunity to market your business with a branded background featuring an offer or lead magnet that might be just enough to get that right someone to reach out.

Target Audience Focused

I specialize in branding and brand marketing for colleges and universities. So why not give a subtle nod to that specialization? Here I am on an idyllic college campus complete with columns and sweeping green lawns beckoning impromptu study sessions. This approach lends itself well to showcasing portfolio projects typical of an architect, landscape designer or interior designer. But really, the possibilities are endless.

Let’s switch gears now to more personal options—for when you’re Zooming with friends and family.

Your Happy Place

Ahhhhh… can you hear the calming waters rushing down the rocks, carrying all your worries away? Where’s your happy place? Mine is our family lake house on Lake Keowee in Seneca, SC.  Pictured above is one of the lake hotspots known simply as “the waterfall”. In the summer, boats fill the cove (as many as 3-5 deep), summertime tunes fill the air and if the water’s not too deep at the base of the waterfall, there’s a lively volleyball game in progress. Another spin on this idea is sharing your next travel destination. You know, the one that you’ve promised yourself to visit once all this craziness is over.

Your favorite things

This one’s a no brainer for me. If you’re a friend of mine, you know that I bleed Carolina Panthers blue-n-black! (Background design courtesy of the Carolina Panthers.) I couldn’t resist the chance to be a part of the Panthers “Brady Bunch” matrix. Check out my new #22 Christian McCaffrey jersey. If you’re a loyal fan of any college or professional sports team, you can likely find custom backgrounds on the team’s website. If you’re a Star Wars fan, they’ve released a series of iconic backgrounds you’re sure to recognize. Maybe you’d like to feature your beloved pet(s)? Or a snapshot of your vegetable garden? It’s a great way to share more about yourself and perhaps spark interesting conversation.
